The last time I wrote a letter was a thank you card to my mom. Writing a letter is always so much more personal and sincere then just sending an e-mail. I feel that it shows that you really care about that person. You took the time to write to them, maybe buy a car, find their address, get a stamp and mail it to them. A lot more effort than just sitting at a computer for 2 minutes and shooting off an e-mail that says "Thanks!". Plus everyone likes to get something in the mail besides bills!

Autum means leaves turning brown and hearing that delightful crunch as you walk down the street. And those cloudy skies that never seem to stretch on for days at at time always hinting at rain but never actually dropping any water. Autumn makes me happy.

What classes I am going to take this quarter. The two that I actually need I am waitlisted for. Hopefully I'll get in them!

As I'm new to the Gaia Community, I figured I would start with an introductory blog. My name is Brianne, but I go by Bree. Both names tend to get confused looks when I introduce myself, but unlike Brianne, which often will get twisted into "Breanna", people tend to remember Bree right. I'm a fifth year at UCI, and looking forward to graduating this year, although I don't really know what I'm going to do after I graduate. Sometime that's what scares me the most, not college but the after. Part of my wants to go ahead and get my mba online, the other part is ready to be done with school. I guess we'll see what happens in June. Or rather December, pretty sure I'll have to research and apply before I graduate. I also work at Vans full-time. I'm an assistant manager, so the hours are steady, and the pay reasonable. A great place to work since they do work around my school schedule. Even though being manager means I have more responsibilities, I wouldn't want it any other way. I like being busy and being in charge. Besides I would be a little worried if I hadn't moved up in the retail world since I've been in it for three years now. When I have free time, which is rare during the school year, I like to go out and hang with my friends. Usually movies, dinner, or clubs. The average 22 year old things. I'm pretty open about most things in my life. For years I had a problem I was extremely secretive about. I only told one person and then slowly told another. I finally decided that the only way to get help, and help myself was to be honest with everyone and finally admit that I have CSP. It stand for constant skin picking. While many people who have it tend to focus on their face (which I do as well to some degree) my main problem is with my scalp. Which means covering or avoiding mirrors do not help me as much as it helps other sufferers. To help me stop picking I joined an on-line support group and it helps a lot. Not only because I can share with people that have the same problem but it reminds me that I'm not the only one out there. Some weeks are better than others when it comes to controlling my problems.
So that's me in a nutshell!
